Speculative Stock Investments - Uber and Go-Jek

Uber, Go-Jek & Grab are popular ride sharing apps because they are inexpensive, fast and efficient ways to get around and deliver stuff in crowded  cities,

Currently they are all considered new businesses (with no profits yet) or private with no disclosures for us to truly know how they are really doing financially. However I will speculate a little with small positions in Uber and Go-Jek (via stakeholders Tencent, Google and JD.com). I'm still waiting for Grab to go public.

Stock Buy - Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC)

I added this high yielding Canadian bank (NYSE:CM) after a weak earnings quarter.

The loan business is slowing down (not good) but I 'm willing to collect that fat ~5+% dividend 💰 to offset growth for now. Eventually their loan business may or may not come around. I'll wait and see. 🙏

Westrock (NYSE:WRK) is a packaging company. I first added Westrock last month and this latest market pullback is a nice opportunity to get more of this ~5% dividend payer. This sector has been under pressure a while now but I think it will recover once US trade war with China eases.

Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB), headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is a global specialty chemicals company with leading positions in lithium, bromine and refining catalysts.

This is an indirect way to invest in the Lithium sector (batteries). Self driving cars is our future. AI is our future. I will wait patiently for this material demand to surge and prices to improve.
